Democrats Mourn China's Capitalist Enabler

Zhu Rongji's market reforms built modern China, yet Democrats still pretend command economies deliver paradise.

Zhu Rongji privatized state firms, slashed subsidies, and forced China into the WTO during the 1990s, turning a bankrupt communist relic into the factory of the world. That record directly contradicts every speech from Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer decrying "unfettered markets" while pushing Green New Deal mandates, student debt bailouts, and expanded welfare that would have bankrupted even Zhu's old system. Schumer spent years blocking Trump's tariffs that finally pressured Beijing on IP theft and subsidies...the exact tools Zhu once used internally to discipline inefficient state giants. Jeffries and AOC lecture about "systemic racism" in American capitalism but never mention Zhu's forced layoffs of millions of unprofitable workers, the brutal price of real reform. Their selective praise for a dead Chinese premier ignores how those same market steps exposed the failures of the socialism they still peddle at home.

Trump's second-term agenda revives the growth Zhu proved possible without endless government control. Democrats resist it because results would prove their redistribution racket unnecessary.
