Democrats Whine Over Trump’s Birthday Bash

House Democrats just can’t stand a president who actually likes the country he leads.

Leftist outlets are melting down because Trump’s America250 commission dares to celebrate 250 years of independence instead of 250 years of invented grievances. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and his caucus claim Trump is “hijacking” the event for political gain, as if waving the flag and rejecting tricorn-hat cosplay is some novel crime. These are the same voices who spent Biden’s term pushing “Freedom 250” messaging that downplayed the Founding and spotlighted every progressive complaint from slavery to climate. Now that the anniversary lands on Trump’s watch, suddenly national pride equals authoritarianism.

The Washington Post and Guardian hand-wringers insist the country is too “polarized” and “broken” for fireworks, yet their solution is always more lectures about what America supposedly owes them. Jeffries and Schumer spent years cheering open borders, inflation, and identity obsessions that fractured the nation they now pretend to defend. Trump simply refuses to treat the 250th as a funeral for the republic. That offends the people who prefer mourning to gratitude.
